I bought a red box from do it all. But I got many boxes from a company caed Alarm call systems, they used to help my collection grow. That's how I got some mint condition boxes and sometimes genuine stickers

@audiotron1003 you won't remember me but i used to watch you and comment a lot, I still have all of my bell boxes and I have just installed a ventcroft type c non vented bell box with a working system to my shed. I will be posting that on my other account at somepoint " alarms n that " if your interested

Because most of my boxes don't have alarms and I don't care about alarms. I only care about the boxes that's why.

I remember when these were common and I didn't like them. I decided later they weren't so bad so I bought one for my S box collection.

I did welcome them when they came out. I was concidering collecting the whole set of colours at the time. Still, I'm very happy with my vented Cs

I suppose so. I don't do alarm tests so I had to improvise

I'd have liked to see the balloons take off but wind and rain ment they could just become lanterns.

On an alarm box front Bristol has loads of old metal boxes.

As I go around Nottingham a lot I see quite a few of these still in existence. There's at least 3 perfectly good metal boxes in the wild.

These are bigger than ‘Howlers’. I believe they are just called SAB units with a model number of 1 to 7 possibly?

Since the original collection video I now have 2 micromark Cs, 2 non vented ventctoft Cs, 1 vented ventctoft C 2 A1 Cs.

They are getting harder to obtain. I'm glad I did what I did back in 1989

There used to be loads around the council estates of Nottingham back in the day. At the time I didn't like them now I somehow appreciate them.
